In accordance with the Slovak National Assembly law No. 11/2004 Z. z. concerning defence standardization, codification and state quality verification of the products and services for defence purposes, every producer and supplier is obliged to provide necessary data of the products including their actualization and all details about producer and supplier of the product in accordance with a NATO codification system. For this purpose VOP Trencin in 2005 has created a codification agency. National codification office has issued for the codification agency Attest No. 06/2005, confirming institutional capability to process the codification data proposals of the products.

Codification agency processes the proposals of codification data not only about its own products applied to arms and equipment of the Slovak Armed Forces but also for other producers and suppliers within Slovak Republic, e.g. Matador, Mikona, Kerametal etc. The agency has processed numerous proposals of codification data for different products so far.

The VOP as a producer and supplier has its own code – NCAGE 1121M serving for identification of the company in the database of the suppliers for the Slovak Armed Forces as well as for NATO.
